We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance and condition of our equipment, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the manufacturing environment, who can work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and extend their service life.
3. Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures, ensuring they meet safety and functionality standards.
4. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, shop machines, and other equipment necessary for the performance of duties.
5. Select the appropriate equipment and tools to perform specific tasks.
6. Troubleshoot issues, analyze repair requirements, and work efficiently to minimize downtime.
7. Maintain detailed records of performed maintenance and repair works.
8. Comply with company policies and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
9. Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize performance and output.
10. Participate in ongoing technical training and development opportunities to remain current on industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry or a similar role.
2. Proven experience in preventive maintenance and knowledge of machines and tools.
3. Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment.
4. Proficiency in equipment selection, ensuring the right tools are used for specific tasks.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
6. Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to implement them in a working environment.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
8. High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree from a vocational school or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field will be a plus.
9. Certifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
