Job Details
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Perform highly diversified maintenance duties including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Execute scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency repairs as needed across all shifts
Conduct and document preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in accordance with facility standards
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose equipment problems; replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations to the Facility Maintenance Manager
Utilize Microsoft Office to order parts, schedule jobs, and maintain supporting maintenance documentation
Perform all work in accordance with safety policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times
Communicate effectively with Sanitation Manager, line workers, Leads, Supervisors, and Plant Manager
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Needed:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completed or currently pursuing a 2-year trades/technical degree OR minimum 4 years of hands-on plant maintenance experience
Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience or strong background in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair
Strong working knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, three-phase motor controls, and AC/DC drive troubleshooting
Welding and fabrication skills required
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
Proficient in legible record-keeping, data entry, and use of Microsoft Office for parts ordering and job scheduling
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and problem-solve creatively under pressure
Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible - including availability for nights and weekends per continental shift schedule
Legally authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship not available)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
