We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role will involve a wide range of tasks, including maintaining and repairing machinery, conducting regular inspections, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding, a deep knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures, and a solid background in working with machines and tools. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical and electrical skills to apply their expertise in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical issues that arise.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work conducted, and report any significant issues to management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment meet safety regulations and standards.
• Implement improvements to machinery and equipment to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• A strong technical understanding, with a deep knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Extensive experience with machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Proven mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and a strong understanding of its importance in the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot potential issues before they become problems.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Must be physically capable of performing tasks that may require lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• A relevant technical certification or degree is preferred.
