Maintenance TechnicianPosition Status: Full TimeClassification: Non-ExemptSUMMARYThe Victory Maintenance Technician is responsible for any/all service requests including items involving misc. handyman items light plumbing light construction maintenance on the facilities and other related duties requiring a skilled maintenance technician. This position reports to the Facilities Director and requires attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral maintenance in construction plumbing drywall etc.Stay within compliance with Life Safety regulations.Check building maintenance requests/tasks dailyUpdate and respond to each request statusPrioritize maintenance requests by immediate needComplete each task to the best of your ability but advise when a maintenance repair needs to be outsourcedBe available to coordinate with professional maintenance companies.Be available for maintenance-related emergenciesStore and replenish all maintenance supplies in an approved areaOther duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED.Ability to work in a team environment.Positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image.Native English speaker (or) the capacity to successfully pass a TOEFL Exam with instructional proficiency.Knowledge of skilled handyman maintenance technician tasks including: general construction drywall paint etc.Physical ability to lift/carry /operate equipment and supplies is necessaryEffective communication and interpersonal skills are necessaryAbility to understand and follow instructions.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
