This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems as well as performing welding and fabrication work as needed to ensure all plant equipment operates safely and efficiently.Responsibilities:Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report any unsafe or non-compliant activities.Perform mechanical maintenance to keep equipment operational including pumps conveyors valves hydraulic units burners and mobile equipment.Maintain and repair electrical systems including breaker boxes power supplies sensors PLCs and lighting.Perform welding cutting and grinding tasks to repair or fabricate components as needed.Complete work orders and respond promptly to equipment downtime.Maintain and follow preventive maintenance (PM) programs ensuring accurate documentation.Assist with the installation of new equipment including running new electrical wiring and/or piping.Keep shop and work areas clean organized and compliant with all safety programs.Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with engineers as needed.Proactively detect diagnose and repair potential issues using PM and inspection tools.Attend required training sessions and safety meetings.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.Strong welding experience required (MIG TIG or stick preferred).Ability to perform cutting grinding and fabrication work safely and accurately.Knowledge of identifying and replacing worn or damaged parts.Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving reasoning and communication skills.Basic mathematical and measurement skills.Must be self-motivated and dependable.Ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse teams.Full Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
