MAMMO TECH: 1 open position Location : Rancho Mirage CA Work Schedule: Days are Monday-Friday but the hours will vary fromor 930-6 depending on the coverage needed Bill Rate: $115.00 Start date: 12/01 Contract length: 13 weeks Qualifications : Education: Required: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology Licensure/Certification: Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS Experience: Preferred: Mammography screening experience Job Objectives: Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams; educates patients regarding patient exams and accurately documents procedures completed and procedure codes. Responsibilities: Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment and answers questions Escorts patient from sub-wait area to procedure room. Explains procedure to patient prior to beginning exam. Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started. Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature as appropriate. Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams. Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS. Performs bone density screening as assigned. Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms. Maintains job knowledge per the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements. Follows department timekeeping procedures. Works at main campus and satellite facilities.
