Position: Full Time Registered Mammography Tech Department: Mammography Shift: Varied Primarily Days Includes a WeekendPURPOSEThe primary purpose of your job position as a Mammographer / Radiographer in the Medical Imaging Department is to perform assigned duties in an effective manner in accordance with established policies and procedures and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times.Working under the direction of the Director of Medical Imaging and the Assistant Director of Medical Imaging performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Must care for a patient population which includes adolescents and geriatrics; therefore must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond appropriately. Performs other job related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSHigh school graduate or equivalent.Verification of successful graduation from an AMA accredited radiography program and certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
