Job Title: MAMMOGRAM TECHPay: $75 Per HourShift: Days are Monday through Friday with hours varying from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. depending on the required coverage.Location: Rancho Mirage CASchedule: 13-week contractJob Duties:Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams; educates patients regarding patient exams and accurately documents procedures completed and procedure codes.Responsibilities:Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violationsInteracts compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment and answers questionsEscorts patients from the sub-wait area to the procedure roomExplain the procedure to the patient before beginning the examObtains the appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before the procedure is started.Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature as appropriate.Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography examsCompletes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACSPerforms bone density screening as assignedMaintains the cleanliness of all radiology equipment and roomsMaintains job knowledge by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirementsFollows department timekeeping proceduresWorks at the main campus and satellite facilitiesEssential Skills:Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlinesAbility to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional mannerAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situationsAbility to communicate with patients healthcare professionals and staff to ensure a clear and accurate exchange of informationProficient in the use of mammography and DEXA equipmentRequired Certifications & Licensure:Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS.Experience: Preferred: Mammography screening experience.Required Education:Required: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology.XPDEL Inc. is committed to an inclusive workplace that does not discriminate against racenationality religion age marital status physical or mental disability sexual orientation gender orgender identity.
