JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a busy diagnostic imaging team on a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while providing compassionate patient care and maintaining high imaging quality standards. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend requirements and the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Position patients appropriately and operate mammography equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
  • Review images for technical quality and ensure proper documentation and image transmission.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, education, and support throughout the imaging process.
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, quality assurance guidelines, and departmental policies.
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information within the electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
  • Perform mammography services for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Ensure equipment functionality and report any operational concerns promptly.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards of practice.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) certification required.
  • ARRT Mammography (M) certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Mammography Technologist experience required.
  • Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
  • Experience working with inpatient and outpatient patient populations.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic mammography, screening mammography, and breast imaging procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of patient positioning, image quality assessment, and radiation safety practices.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); Epic experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Previous travel healthcare experience is a plus.

Important Details:

  • 13-week contract position (extensions available)
  • Shift is an 8-hour day (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 05:00 PM), 40 hrs/week
  • Location is Bronxville, NY 10708
  • Pay Range for Locals: $55 - $60 per hour
  • Pay Range for Travelers: $2,650 - $2,700 per week
