The individual will be highly experienced in working in complex manufacturing environments and familiar with best-in-class manufacturing practices.You will lead cross-functional initiatives that evaluate develop and improve manufacturing methods process and systems. This role is responsible for designing implementing and improving manufacturing processes equipment and workflows to ensure efficiency safety and quality in production. This role offers significant opportunities for growth by supporting skill development within the practice expanding service offerings and cultivating a high-performing team to support strategic projectsKey responsibilitiesLead Manufacturing Process Redesign: Analyze and re-engineer workflows to improve performance scalability and cost-efficiencyOptimize Bills of Materials (BOMs): Ensure BOM accuracy and standardization; reduce SKUs and enhance material traceabilitySupport ERP/MRP System Integration: Maintain data integrity for BOMs routings and production data to enable effective planning and inventory controlStandardize Components and Processes: Identify and implement standardization across product lines to reduce complexity and costCollaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering supply chain finance and operations to align design with manufacturing capabilities and cost targetsDrive Manufacturing Cost Analysis: Analyze material labor and overhead to support cost reduction and make-vs-buy decisionsLead Lean and Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Conduct value stream mapping and apply Lean Six Sigma or 5S methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.Optimize Production Routing and Capacity Planning: Improve routing sequences cycle times and assess plant capabilities for layout and resource planningDevelop and Maintain Documentation: Create and manage work instructions process flows and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Ensure Compliance and Support Quality: Monitor production data support root cause analysis and ensure adherence to safety quality and environmental standardsQualifications8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering product design and new product introduction corporate strategy management consulting or enterprise transformationExperience in consumer products and/or industrials industriesExperience within our core industry focus: consumer goods food and beverage industrials and manufacturingBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related fieldStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining assembly welding etc.) and equipmentFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principles Six Sigma and root cause analysis tools.Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD etc.) and ERP/MRP systems.Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills including executive-level presentation experienceDeep cross-functional business acumenespecially in consumer goods food & beverage industrials or manufacturingExperience with change management organizational design or ERP transformation is a plusAbility to travel 50%Preferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing of goodsCertifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black BeltKnowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and FMEALocation: This is a hybrid role and will include flexibility to work from home.
