Learn more at OverviewThis role is accountable for two primary objectives:Ensuring that the Procurement organization delivers results in support of the Janssen R&D strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business category leaders and broader function.Leading the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations complex business projects and other critical functional activities.Are you passionate about providing better outcomes for patients Are you motivated to join a newly formed agile teamKey Responsibilities:Understand the Janssen R&D priorities and partner with Procurement Category Leaders to devise strategies that advance those prioritiesCollaborate with business leaders to ensure Procurement strategies meet the business needs and are adopted within the businessIdentify industry trends that Procurement must incorporate in its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the businessLead strategic sourcing events and negotiationsDeliver against performance targets for the Janssen Procurement organizationQualificationsRequired:A Bachelors Degree is required and an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.Minimum 5 years related experience is requiredUnderstanding challenges through the eyes of business leadersAble to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goalStrong leadership and collaboration skills at the senior executive level as well as with peersStrong verbal and written communication skills able to expertly present complex information to senior executivesBroad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus including spend management source-to-pay.Strong project and change management capabilitiesProven learning agility improving both yourself and the people around youPreferred:Preferred experience in Life Sciences Med Technology or FMCG sectorsDemonstrated agile behaviorsHigh level of credibility with internal customers and with the supplier community based on broad experienceTrack record in leading cross-functional teams and driving significant change programsMulti-category experience across varying geographies and businessesFlexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environmentOther:10% travel requirement - international and US domestic (if applicable)Please note that this role is available across multiple countries and may be posted under different requisition numbers to comply with local requirements. Under current guidelines this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.
