This job description shall not be construed as a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position. Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Job Responsibilities and ExecutionCreates and implements all policies and procedures required to manage fitness facilityPurchases and maintains required supplies and equipment; collects equipment proposals and quotes from fitness vendorsEnsures adherence to University policies and procedures and local state and federal regulationsCreates and enforces rules/regulations regarding disciplinary issues in Evans Commons Recreational Center and within Lindenwoods intramural sports programsProvides ongoing assessment and data management for all programs activities and individuals associated with campus recreation programsPromotes and enforces conflict resolution in Evans Commons and intramural sports programsSelects trains and supervises student employees; hires and supervises sports officials and fitness instructorsExecutes on disciplinary and termination processes as outlined by University policies and proceduresService ExcellenceSupports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellenceModels supports and holds others accountable to the Universitys valuesSupports Lindenwood students by providing and maintaining a space that allows for student development outside of the classroomCommunication Teamwork and CollaborationPromotes Evans Commons Recreational Center and its fitness and intramural sports programsManages the intramural events and recreational center calendarAssists with the development and execution of departmental plans goals and assessmentsJob may require other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered.
