Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8)Department/Organization: 504107 - Facility CustodialNormal Work Schedule: Varies; Shift work may include early mornings, days, or nightsJob Summary: The Manager of Custodial Services ensures buildings and facilities receive the highest quality custodial services. Communicates with customers. Coordinates staff, equipment, specialty crews, and other maintenance departments. Plans, schedules, trains, and manages services to the University community. Ensures that campus facilities are clean and available for use on a daily basis. Supervises Custodial Supervisors which involves direct and indirect responsibilities of interviewing, selecting, training, and evaluating performance.Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of custodial experience to include four (4) years in a supervisory role with custodial services; OR associate's degree and six (6) years of custodial experience to include four (4) years in a supervisory role with custodial services; OR bachelors degree and four (4) years of experience in a supervisory role with custodial services; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role with custodial services.Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.Skills and Knowledge: Good verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills, such as word processing, spreadsheet management, and/or database management.Background Investigation Statement: Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
