We focus on efficient and effective analytic execution positioning ourselves as the go-to experts with deep knowledge and expertise constantly striving for better faster insights from data.Were looking for a Manager Data Science Content to join Snap Inc.What youll doLead and mentor a team of high-performing Data Scientists focused on our content community with the core mission of enhancing viewer experience improving content ranking algorithms and increasing content supply efficiency & qualityHelp build and manage a team of high performing data scientists and help them execute along the most important priorities and deliver world-class productsEstablishes a positive mutually supporting inclusive and fun team environment where every employee can do their bestWork cross-functionally and partner with product managers engineers and researchers to solve problems and conduct analytics studies to identify new product opportunities and shape product strategyConduct in-depth analysis of all data sources asking the right questions testing hypotheses identifying patterns and providing the necessary business context to translate what it all meansLead the development & implementation of regular insights share-outs that drive the consumer voice throughout the organizationDeliver on data science and analytics roadmap including continuous improvement accurate and timely reporting and measurementProvide strategic direction project clarity methodological consultation and deliver results both individually and through managing a high performing teamKnowledge Skills Abilities:Understanding of statistical analysis experience with packages such as R MATLAB Stata etc.Working knowledge of predictive modeling machine learning and experimentation/ causal inference methodsExpertise in the data workflow and pipeline and lead a team responsible for data capture measurement and optimization capability managementExpertise in SQL and familiarity with PythonExcellent communication skills with high attention to detailAbility to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidanceAbility to balance practical business needs and scientific rigorMinimum RequirementsBS/BA degree in statistics mathematics economics computer science engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience7 years of post-Bachelors experience in quantitative analysis & data science or a related field; or a Masters degree in a technical field 6 years of post-grad experience in quantitative analysis & data science or a related field; or a PhD in a relevant technical field 3 years of post-grad experience in quantitative analysis & data science or a related field3 years experience in a leadership role within a data organizationPreferred qualificationsAdvanced degree in a quantitative field (Economics Computer Science Physics)Experience forming partnerships with cross-functional leaders in engineering product design research etc.Proven track record in transforming data into meaningful insights and opportunities to drive growth and performance.Experience in a product-focused role at a social media online advertising digital media and/or mobile technology companyIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please dont be shy and provide us some information.Default Together Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster reinforce our values and serve our community customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
