The Companys three core products are Snapchat a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends family and the world; Lens Studio an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses Spectacles.Were looking for an Electrical Engineer Manager to join the Spectacles Team!What youll do:Lead a project team of electrical engineers developing our next-generation AR products and experiencesPeople manage a team of 5-7 engineers in varying stages of their careersPartner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering Operations Product Test FW and Program Management to ensure EE deliverables across a multi-phase programPartner with contract manufacturers and vendors from concept to development to deliver scalable designs to productionCollaborate cross-functionally to perform complex design trade-off analysis and inform high quality decision making at a product levelReview schematics layouts bring-up plans validation plans (component and system level) and test plansProvide support and guidance to your team to ensure on-time execution of deliverables occasional direct ownership when neededGuide the EE team members through design considerations including stackups component selection and architecture choicesDebug hardware issues across multiple systems: power quality high-speed signal integrity desense and coexistenceDevelop and model best practices for the team in product development engineering process and documentation to improve overall team effectivenessTravel up to 15%Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Strong electrical engineering fundamentalsFamiliarity with Rigid Flex and Rigid Flex PCB designExperience in electronic design including component selection schematic design and familiarity with tools like Cadence Allegro and OrCAD CaptureKnowledge of lab instrumentation PDN/SI simulation toolsAbility to run a technical programMinimum Qualifications:11 years of post-Bachelors electrical or hardware engineeringexperience; or Masters degree in a technical field 10 year of post-grad electrical or hardware engineering experience; or PhD in a relevant technical field 7 years of post-grad electrical or hardware engineering experience3 years of hands-on engineering management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in a relevant fieldDemonstrated experience developing and shipping products at scaleExcellent process development and documentation skillsIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please dont be shy and provide us some information.Default Together Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster reinforce our values and serve our community customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
