Job Description:Mars Wrigley in Hackettstown, NJ is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician Total Rewards & Compensation details below What do we manufacture?Chocolate & Peanut M&MsRequired Shift: 12 Hour shiftDay Shift: 5:18am- 5:48pmNight Shift: 5:18pm- 5:48am (4 Days, 3 OFF, 3 Nights, 1 OFF, 3 Days, 3 OFF, 4 Nights, 7 OFF) Additional details discussed in interview process Job Purpose:The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation and reliability of plant utility systems and be able to trouble shoot and make repairs on a wide variety of equipment. Additionally, complete preventive maintenance on equipment and identify/implement continuous improvement opportunities.What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED3+ years industrial maintenance experienceMulti-craft skills (Ex: mechanical, welding & electrical)Must be able to acquire a New Jersey High Pressure Boiler Black Seal License (Mars supported and financed) Preferred Requirements:5+ years industrial maintenance experienceExperience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with cogenerationKnowledge of Lab processes for Boiler Feedwater analysisNew Jersey Blue Seal Boilers License and Blue Seal Non-Toxic Refrigeration LicenseHigh Pressure Black or Blue SealPhysical Requirements:Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and grippingHand dexterity- open, grip and close valvesAbility to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spacesAbility to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hoursCapable of working in hot, cold and wet conditionsProficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in EnglishWhat will be your key role responsibilities?Safe operation and maintenance throughout the site and Utilities DepartmentResponsible for high pressure boilers, a 10 MW CoGeneration turbine, centrifugal refrigeration chillers, cooling towers, centrifugal air compressors, and HVAC systemsTroubleshoot and make repairs throughout the entire complex on a wide variety of equipmentPreventive maintenanceIdentify, recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunitiesAssigned an essential personnel card with the state of New JerseyThis site operates 24 hours a day/365 days a yearAny ad hoc requestsTotal Rewards:Starting Pay: $39.43- 47 per hour (based on experience)Shift Differential: $2 per hourOvertime PotentialAnnual Bonus and Merit IncreasesBenefits Starting Day One:Medical, Vision, and DentalUp to 6% 401K matchVacation timeTuition reimbursementShort/Long Term Disability18 weeks parental leaveWhat can you expect from Mars?The opportunity to learn, develop and take charge of your own career.An industry competitive salary and benefits package. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
