RWE Clean Energy LLCTo start as soon as possible full time permanentFunctional area: Finance / ControllingRemuneration: ExemptThe Manager General Ledger Cash supervises a team of 2-3 accountants and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of cash related activities including Withdrawal Certificate bank reconciliation daily cash postings etc.The Manager General Ledger Cash collaborates closely with various Accounting and Finance teams assist in ad hoc projects provides guidance to Cash team continuously work to improve the efficiency of the accounting and reporting processes.Role Responsibilities:Ensure an accurate and timely cash postings for all RWE Americas companiesOverview month end close cash activities including preparing/reviewing standard and miscellaneous cash journal entries account reconciliation etcReview and approve intercompany transactions treasury postings and recurring accounting entriesObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the cash postings in SAPAdvises staff regarding the handling of non-routine cash transactionsMonitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracyIdentify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to increase automation and reduce cycle time. Establish best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process in order to operate in an efficient and effective mannerSupport special projects as appropriateEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies; support internal control documentation and testingServe as point of contact for external auditors during treasury audit cyclesIdentify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to increase automation and reduce cycle timeCoordinate with Treasury AP and FP&A to align accounting with operational and financial strategiesEstablish best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process in order to operate in an efficient and effective mannerDevelop team capabilities through performance management coaching and career developmentWork with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff. Hiring training and supervision of accounting staffJob Requirements and Experiences:Bachelors degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA license preferredMinimum 5 years of relevant work in the energy industry or related field including at least 2 years of managing direct reportsFamiliar with IFRS and US GAAPExperience with ERP systems SAP preferredStrong interpersonal skills with ability to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables spaceExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) and TeamsStrong leadership and communication and ability to meet deadlinesStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter goal-oriented and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize build relationships and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsResponds well to direction is easy to challenge and develop and is coachableIs detail-oriented has strong business acumen and a sound understanding of business conceptsApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
