Manager II, Engineering SDLC Developer Experience at Datadog

As an Engineering Manager II within SDLC youll lead a group of talented engineers focused on building tools systems and processes that empower developers to deliver high-quality software faster and more reliably. Youll own key parts of the software development lifecycledriving improvements in CI/CD build infrastructure testing frameworks or release automation. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.What Youll Do:Define the vision strategy and technical direction for a part of the SDLC organization in partnership with staff engineers and cross-team leaders relying on our internal platformsCoach and develop senior engineers and managers fostering a culture of high performance inclusion and psychological safetyOversee project planning execution and technical quality ensuring operational excellence and system reliabilityParticipate in hiring and organizational planning for future growthWho You Are:Experienced working on and leading internal platforms and/or developer productivity & developer experience organizationsYou have experience with monorepos CI/CD and deployment pipelines.You have experience working with one or more of the following languages: Java Go Python or Rust.Experience working with Bazel is strongly preferred.Excited and engaged about defining the future SDLC powered by Gen AI advancementA strong people manager able to attract develop and retain top engineering talentYoure comfortable managing geographically distributed teams (across the Americas & Europe) and you have experience managing other managers.Datadog values people from all walks of life.
