Job Details Ewing Center - Sedalia MO Fully Remote Full Time 4 Year Degree $36.05 Hourly Day Nonprofit - Social ServicesDescription Director of PhilanthropyFull-timeMissouri(Remote)The Manager of Philanthropy leads the organizations major gifts strategy and drives philanthropic growth through relationship-building strategic fundraising and data-informed donor engagement. This role manages a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects and collaborates with leadership to align giving opportunities with organizational priorities. The manager plays a key role in strengthening a culture of philanthropy that fuels mission-driven work across CHS.POSITION SUMMARYThe Director of Philanthropy leads the organizations major gifts strategy and drives philanthropic growth through relationship-building strategic fundraising and data-informed donor engagement. This role manages a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects and collaborates with leadership to align giving opportunities with organizational priorities. The Director plays a key role in strengthening a culture of philanthropy that fuels mission-driven work across CHS.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Leadership & StrategyCollaborate with the CDO and CEO to set annual fundraising goals and develop strategic plans to meet or exceed targets.Establish and track key performance indicators for fundraising progress and donor engagement.Major Donor Cultivation & StewardshipManage and grow a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors through personalized cultivation solicitation and stewardship strategies.Build authentic relationships that connect donors philanthropic goals with CHSs mission and priorities.Ensure high-quality stewardship experiences that promote long-term donor retention and increased giving.Data-Driven FundraisingEnsure high-quality stewardship experiences that promote long-term donor retention and increased giving.Use donor data and analytics to drive engagement strategies forecast revenue and evaluate program effectivenessMaintain accurate donor records interactions and gift history within the CRM systemGenerate reports to inform fundraising decisions and measure outcomes.Cross-Departmental CollaborationPartner with program staff and leadership management team to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling cases for support.Support organizational campaigns events and initiatives by aligning philanthropic messaging with CHSs strategic goals.Philanthropic Culture & Community EngagementPromote a culture of philanthropy across CHS through internal collaboration and staff engagementRepresent CHS at community events and donor meetings reinforcing the organizations mission and vision.SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Demonstrated success in securing and stewarding gifts above $1000.Exceptional written verbal presentation and interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in CRM databases donor research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of major gift fundraising principles donor cultivation and donor lifecycle strategies.COMPETENCIESData-Informed Decision Making Uses data to drive donor strategies track giving trends and forecast revenue.Leadership & Collaboration Builds internal and external partnerships to expand philanthropic support.Major Gifts Strategy Leads a structured donor-centered program that increases long-term revenue and donor commitment by building meaningful lasting relationships through active listening customized engagement and authentic stewardship.Strategic Thinking Aligns fundraising strategies with mission outcomes and long-term organizational growth.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit and use their hands to operate a computer.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while using the computer.The employee is occasionally required to drive distances of up to 250 miles.The employee is frequently required to stand walk sit talk and hear.The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in Nonprofit Management Communications or related field from an accredited university plus five years of related work experience in fundraising with a focus on major gifts; or a combination of education and experience to equal nine years.Must provide a valid drivers license and proof of personal valid vehicle insurance.BENEFITS:CHS offers best-in-industry benefits.Click here to view our Benefits guide for more detailsSHIFTS: FT (40 hrs.)
