If youre ready to drive change and make history apply now!What youll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Lead manage and grow a team of engineers responsible for engine hardware assembly and component designBe a champion for innovation and creativityBe a driving force in achieving engineering excellence and a source of Powertrain knowledgeCommunicate cross functionally with all stakeholdersSupport the execution of the DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report)Lead DFMEA (Design for Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) activitiesOversee the on-time delivery of program engineering milestones including sourcing packages build plans and HW deliverablesProvide technical feedback to concept architects designers test engineers and calibration teamsLocation & Travel Expectations:This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi Michigan.The responsibilities of this role require a minimum of 4 daysattendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.What youll bringWe expect all Scout employees to have integrity curiosity resourcefulness and strive to exhibit a positive attitude as well as a growth mindset. Heres what else youll bring:Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering10 years of experience in engine and engine hardware (fuel systems air intake exhaust systems etc.) engineeringExperience recruiting and developing technical talentA proven ability to inspire and motivate team membersProject management and multi-system coordination through all phases of development and productionExperience leading projects and people (directly or indirectly) with strong interpersonal skills accountability problem solving and analytical thinkingProven ability to work in a cross-functional environmentExperience with powertrain components including part design system integration manufacturing processes and assembly operationsKnowledge of engineering processes and toolsMinimum of High School Diploma GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors Inc.What youll gainThe benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.
