Position Summary: The PMO Manager at Bentley Systems will lead a team of Project Managers within the region, ensuring they follow processes and deliver projects on time/budget to Bentley Users. As a PMO Manager, you will drive your PM team to align with company strategies, giving the right priorities and guiding in day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse and virtually organized team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to meet both team and company objectives
- Manage team members' assignments and schedules to meet utilization targets and balance workload
- Assign the right Project Manager to the right account, depending on personal characteristics, seniority, and workload
- Ensure projects within your region are delivered on time/budget
- Perform periodic project reviews to ensure company processes are followed
- Prepare and maintain a development plan for each team member
- Manage first-level escalations, being able to escalate further if/when needed
- Foster communication and collaboration within your team and across the PMO
- Report business status, risks, and issues to the PMO director
- Empower team members to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, creating accountability
- Provide performance evaluations for the team through structured performance appraisals and regular feedback
- Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall Bentley mission and values
- Travel to customer sites, user conferences, and internal meetings may be required up to 20%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related industry degree required
- Strong experience (7+ years) as a Project Manager is required
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team in a virtual environment required
- Ability to travel up to 20% is required
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think strategically as well as implement tactically
- Exceptional time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills; ability to quickly adapt and react to changing circumstances and demands with close attention to detail
