Weve raised over $160M in venture capital serve thousands of customers across the US Canada UK and Ireland and weve been rapidly growing year over addition to driving hypergrowth with our current product line Bevi is heavily investing in new product development.Bevi is seeking a Sustaining Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team focused on the ongoing improvement support and evolution of our existing this role you will be the technical driver behind initiatives that improve product reliability manufacturability and cost. Youll work closely with teams across Engineering Quality Manufacturing and Product to scope problems develop solutions and guide changes from concept through implementation.This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment can navigate ambiguity and is passionate about continuous improvement.Your Day to DayLead the sustaining team in working with Quality Product and Manufacturing teams to understand challenges establish success criteria and lead investigations for Bevis top areas of improvementSupport product failure investigations by gathering data and using root cause analysis techniquesWork with project managers to clearly communicate status updates challenges and timing impactsGuide the team in design reviews ensuring opportunities risks and proposed next steps are clearly communicated and understoodMentor the team to iterate through designs from benchtop prototypes to manufacturing ready modelsEnsure 3D CAD and 2D drawings for manufacturing are properly implemented into Bevis PLM systemWork with suppliers to improve designs and initiate process changesKeep multiple projects moving prioritizing resourcing and requirements accordinglyHelp the team develop and execute tests to prove performance reduce risk and build product reliabilityProvide guidance to the new product development team on new designs to ensure reliability and cost targets are metRequirements8 years of relevant experience in product design sustaining engineering or manufacturing support including at least 2 years in a leadership or project ownership roleAbility to mentor and grow a team of highly capable engineersSkilled SOLIDWORKS user with experience working collaboratively in large assemblies and creating toleranced 2D part and assembly drawings (experience with GD&T a plus)Professional experience designing for various manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping and casting. Working knowledge of materials used in these processesStrong hands-on skills to build and test prototypesProficiency and ability to use mechanical power/hand tools (drill press saw press etc) and electrical instrumentation (meters power supplies pressure sensors etc)Strong documentation presentation and communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to be in the office 3 days per weekExperience with data collection tools such as DataQ Labview or similarExperience with PDM systemsExperience with fluid and/or hydraulic systems is a plusExperience working with 3D printers is a plusExperience with designing products that fall under UL NSF or other similar regulatory standards#LI-CD1#LI-HYBRIDAt Bevi we believe compensation is a powerful tool to attract retain and grow talent.
