Tighten bolts and screws and reassemble equipment and vehicles repaired ensuring they are safe and in good working condition.Drive vehicle to test brakes or align wheels.Perform tune-ups oil changes and other routine preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment replacing common parts and making adjustments.Lookup and understand the manufacturers specifications technical bulletins service or repair manuals. Follow vehicle repair procedures.Report discrepancies and safety hazards on all vehicles and properties on the appropriate forms.Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently over long periods of time and in groups within the scope of established rules and regulations.Ability to apply knowledge in multiple areas of vehicle repair.Ability to drive a trolley or conch train in a safe competent manner on busy public streets and company property.Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do the job.Ability to watch gauges dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent preferredCompletion of an automotive training programVocational of technical school preferredASE Certifications preferred: Auto Brakes and Preventative Maintenance InspectionValid TN Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement (Will train to acquire a CDL. Must obtain a CDL in a first month of employment)Acceptable driving record for the past three yearsOther RequirementsMust pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testingValid DOT physical requiredMust supply own hand tools and toolboxes. Tools must meet or exceed minimum tool list.
