Gain experience and knowledge required for promotion into a management position at your current location or one of our other locations.Employee BenefitsCompetitive pay: $62K - $65K per yearAll FT Employees are eligible for paid vacation time as well as company sponsored health and wellness plansAll FT PT and Seasonal employees are eligible for: paid sick time 401K plan with company matching* fun and upbeat work environment with various award and recognition celebrations throughout the year First Stop Health - 24 hr. access to doctor by phone or computer for employee and their dependents (Employer pays 100%) discounts in retail stores and free admission to all company attractionsOperating tours attractions and retail in Boston Key West Nashville San Diego St. Augustine Savannah San Antonio and Washington DC since 1980!Start your new Career with Us Today!*Eligibility requirements may applyRequirements:Essential FunctionsBecome knowledgeable of Historic Tours of Americas philosophy products and servicesUphold the companys mission to be The Nations Storyteller and exemplify the highest standard in each position held/task performedLearn and perform duties in each department including but not limited to: Train/Trolley Driver/Tour Guide Ticket Sales Representative and Historyteller/ActorWhile assisting the Head Train/Trolley Driver/Tour Guide Depot Sales Manager and Attractions Managers learn such things as making and adjusting a schedule for both personnel and the tour loop drive sales to meet goals conduct evaluations mentoring counseling and motivating employees and how to respond to employee complaints.As assigned participate in Manager on Duty functions opening procedures ensure everything is ready for that day. ensure morning briefing is conducted and cash banks have been distributed; managing the loop and charters and dispatch the tour loop efficiently and effectively. At closing perform closing procedures ensure everything is ready for leaving at the end of the day cash banks have been returned and all buildings are locked and alarms have been set.Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesHigh degrees of self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team within the scope of established rules and regulations.Ability to drive a non-air-conditioned trolley or conch train in a safe competent manner on busy public streets or driving on company property.Ability to learn to hire plan organize direct and coordinate the work of assigned personnel; ability to provide leadership training counsel motivation disciplining staff; processing grievances and constructive performance reviews to staff securing their commitment to the department and company goals.Ability establish and maintain professional effective working relationship and negotiate conflict with people at all levels of an organization (both inside and outside the company)Ability to identify gather and analyze information exhibit sound and accurate judgement and make timely decisions.QualificationsRelated college degree preferredPrior management experience preferredValid Florida Class C or higher CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements (Will train to acquire a CDL. Must obtain a CDL in the first month of employment)Acceptable driving record for the past three yearsOther RequirementsMust pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.TWIC Pass Federal background check Key West Port Pass requiredHave a passion for helping people and making their Key West experience a memorable one.
