Managing Attorney Estate Planning & Probate For a Growing Values-Driven Law Firm San Antonio TX We are seeking a high-performing Managing Attorney who pairs strong legal and leadership skills with grounded confidence and a human-centered approach and who is ready to step into a key role on our executive team. Youll guide a talented team of attorneys and paralegals while maintaining a focused high-quality legal practice of your own. Role Schedule & Structure Leadership Casework: Full-time role based in our San Antonio office Executive Team Membership: Serve on the firms executive leadership team contributing to strategic decisions and firmwide direction Team Oversight: Lead mentor and support a team of attorneys Client Engagement: Maintain your own caseload conduct consultations and continue closing confidently Strategy & Development: Participate in firmwide planning process improvement and growth initiatives Flexibility: Occasional evenings/weekends for networking client events or training Your work will span leadership mentorship case strategy client communication business development and fostering a high-trust high-performance team. This Role Centers Around Four Core Pillars 1. Leadership & Judgment This position calls for clear judgment steady leadership and the confidence to guide both clients and a legal team. Were seeking someone who: Makes clear timely decisions that support clients and the firm Creates structure consistency and accountability for the team Models professionalism and emotional intelligence Can give and receive feedback respectfully Adapts quickly without sacrificing quality You understand how to guide multiple attorneys navigate competing deadlines and maintain calm leadership when the caseload is heavy or client emotions are high. 2. Expertise & Excellence in Practice Your legal skill will still be front and center. Youll maintain a strong personal caseload and continue to be a top performer in client consultations and courtroom representation. You: Are deeply competent in Estate Planning & Probate (Guardianship certification or eligibility required) Draft and review documents with precision and clarity Confidently represent clients in hearings mediations and complex matters Communicate legal concepts in a way that clients feel safe informed and empowered Consistently close new client engagements with warmth and confidence Board Certification or active pursuit of it is a significant advantage. 3. Team Development & Collaboration This role is as much about people as it is about law. Youll help shape the growth stability and culture of the entire legal team. You: Provide coaching training and case guidance to attorneys Support with structure clarity and reliable communication Facilitate team meetings case reviews and process improvements Contribute to recruiting onboarding and long-term team development Foster a culture of accountability paired with kindness and professionalism You are someone who naturally elevates those around you. 4. Growth Strategy & Firm Stewardship You understand that a great law firm is built intentionallythrough systems consistency and continuous improvement. You: Participate in leadership conversations with insight and initiative Identify areas where processes can improve and help implement solutions Contribute to business development and community reputation Bring ideas while respecting structure Care about long-term firm success just as much as daily results Your leadership directly shapes the future of the firm. Requirements 57 years of experience in Estate Planning & Probate Experience managing attorneys and/or legal staff Certification or ability to obtain certification for Guardianship matters Board Certified or actively pursuing (strongly preferred) Technologically fluent; comfortable working within goals metrics and case-management systems Desired Qualities Exceptional communicationwritten verbal and interpersonal High emotional intelligence and client empathy Steady under pressure; balanced decision-maker Collaborative leadership style rooted in accountability and respect Hunger to keep learning improving and elevating the team Key Skills Clerical,Diploma,Foreclosure Paralegal,Flight Operations,Construction Equipment Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
