Job descriptionSummary/ObjectiveReporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) the Managing Director Client Accounting & Tax Solutions is responsible for driving operational excellence overseeing complex organizational change and leading transformation initiatives across accounting and tax functions.Essential FunctionsDrive the vision strategy and execution of client accounting and tax services aligning operations with firm-wide goals and growth initiatives.Design and implement scalable workflows controls and performance metrics to continuously improve service delivery accuracy and compliance.Lead financial due diligence merger & acquisition integration and standardization of accounting and tax procedures across acquired entities.Champion organizational change initiatives including team restructuring service model evolution including overseas adoption and growth and technology adoption while fostering stakeholder alignment.Serve as a strategic advisor to key clients ensuring high-quality delivery of accounting tax planning and financial consulting services.Build and lead a high-performing team driving accountability professional growth and a culture of collaboration and excellence.Responsibilities & Duties Design and implement scalable processes workflows and controls across client accounting and tax operations Establish and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency accuracy and service quality Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline service delivery and reduce operational risk Oversee technology adoption and automation strategies to enhance productivity and data integrity Lead financial due diligence merger & acquisition integration and operational alignment for acquired entities Standardize accounting and tax procedures across merged organizations Collaborate with Compliance HR and IT teams to ensure seamless transitions and compliance Develop integration playbooks and change management strategies for acquired teams Champion a culture of adaptability and innovation across the organization Lead organizational change initiatives including new service models team restructuring and client onboarding redesign Communicate change vision clearly and consistently to internal and external stakeholders Build alignment across cross-functional teams to support strategic goals Serve as executive sponsor for key client relationships ensuring strategic alignment and satisfaction Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and deepen client partnerships Drive performance management succession planning and professional development Foster a collaborative accountable and high-performance cultureThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of essential functions or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Essential functions and responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Job requirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required Masters or MBA preferred10 years of progressive experience in operational leadership process optimization and change management with 5 years in senior leadership required; experience within public accounting or financial services a plusProven track record of designing and implementing scalable operational processes across multi-client or multi-entity environmentsExperience leading workflow automation system integrations and technology adoption within a professional environmentDirect experience leading M&A due diligence post-merger integration and operational harmonization for acquired entitiesDemonstrated success in leading organizational change including team restructuring service model evolution and cross-functional alignmentProven track record of fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvementStrong communication stakeholder engagement and strategic planning skillsProficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms and financial technologies strongly preferredTravelMinimal travel could be required for conferences vendor relationships and potential client growth. International travel is a possibility depending on any growth with an overseas accounting and tax solutions team.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.Position Type & Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time exempt position.
