DescriptionYour day-to-day may include:Utilize previous consulting and industry experience to help companies set and achieve their long-term goalsLead multiple client service delivery teams in the active execution of engagements to help ensure compliance with firm and practice unit service delivery standardsManage develop train coach and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviewsPerform engagement management responsibilities including performance reviews task delegation project scheduling project financials quality review and client managementMeet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization) sales targets for new and follow-on work as well as managed revenue targetsLeadand support business development activities such as identification proposal development and other pursuit activities at clientsWorking at a client site with your team in the office or remotely. No matter when or where you will have the support you need to thrive.Adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentialityWorking closely with Grant Thornton Partners Managing Directors and other team members to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issuesOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting Masters degree in taxation LLM in Taxation or JD preferredA minimum of 10 plus years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing clients at a national levelRelevant certification such as a CPA or JD is required. If you do not hold a relevant certification at time of hire youmust be able to earn one within 18 months of starting with Grant Thornton.Experience in corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skillsExcellent analytical technical and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulationsStrong working knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting including state and local income taxes taxation of international activity and transfer pricingExceptional client service communication skills interpersonal and presentation skillsPrior business development and sales experience is requiredPrior experience in practice and team development is requiredExtensive experience in the manufacturing industry requiredStrong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business casesAbility to travel as neededRequired Experience:Director Key Skills Business Development,Expense Management,Financial Acumen,Management Experience,Profit & Loss,Acquisitions,Investment Banking,Relationship Management,Social Media Management,Financial Modeling,Customer relationship management,Leadership Experience Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
