Managing Veterinarian Opportunity

$175,000–$210,000+ DOE | Management Bonuses | Sign-On/Relocation Bonus


Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital is seeking either an experienced Managing Veterinarian or an experienced Associate DVM interested in stepping into a leadership role with structured support and mentorship.


Whether you are already leading a hospital or are a strong clinician ready to grow into a Medical Director role, this position is designed to meet you where you are—providing leadership transition support, training, and operational partnership so you can succeed long term.

  • Digital radiology

  • Ultrasound

  • Full in-house laboratory

Your Leadership Mission

As Managing Veterinarian, you will:

  • Provide medical leadership and oversee case management

  • Mentor and develop associate DVMs and support staff

  • Establish medical protocols and uphold quality standards

  • Partner closely with the Hospital Manager on operations, financial performance, and compliance

  • Foster strong client relationships and community engagement

  • Build a positive, collaborative, and sustainable workplace

For Associate DVMs stepping into leadership, responsibilities will scale with training and support.
