About the Practice


Arlington South Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, Fear Free Certified small animal practice serving the Arlington community since 1993. Conveniently located in the DFW metroplex, our hospital is known for high-quality medicine, strong team collaboration, and excellent staff retention.


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian Medical Director to lead our skilled and compassionate team. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity to shape the hospital’s medical direction while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.


Hospital & Equipment

Our fully equipped facility supports comprehensive patient care, including:

• Digital and dental radiography

• Ultrasound

• Large surgical suite with dual monitors

• In-house IDEXX laboratory (chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, SNAP tests)

• Access to reference labs and diagnostic consultations

• AVImark practice management software


Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and mentorship to the veterinary team

• Maintain high standards of patient care and client service

• Partner with hospital management on operations and team development

• Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture


Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution

• Eligible for veterinary licensure in Texas

• Experience in general surgery and internal medicine

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills


Schedule & Work-Life Balance

• No after-hours or emergency care

• Flexible scheduling

• Closed on Sundays


Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary starting at $170,000+ (DOE)

• Up to $50,000 sign-on bonus

• Quarterly leadership bonus potential

• Ownership/buy-in opportunity (eligible after 1 year)

• 401(k) with match

• Relocation assistance (if applicable)
