• MondayThursday: 6:30 AM 4:00 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our growing machine shop in Fort Myers. In this hands-on role, you'll work with manual lathe machines to produce high-quality, precision parts. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their trade, works independently, and thrives in a production-focused shop environment.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate manual lathe machines to meet print and tolerance requirements
• Perform machining operations including turning, boring, facing, and threading
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments as needed
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with basic repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a manual machinist in a shop environment
• Setting up and running manual lathe machines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Solid math skills and understanding of machining tolerances
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
