Job DescriptionJob ID: 710893BR Date posted: Nov. 19, 2025 Description:The Lockheed Martin Space Production Operations Team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Associate to support production at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA! The role will require you to be organized with good attention-to-detail and a self-starting approach to work activities. As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for translating engineering designs into actionable work instructions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into clear, step by step work instructions for production technicians- Supporting root cause analysis of component nonconformances and ensuring effective corrective actions are appropriate and implemented- Providing technical guidance and in-person support to technicians to maximize performance and qualityBasic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline (Mechanical Engineering preferred), however will consider experience in lieu of degree. - Experience working with cross-functional groups- Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems and issues as they arise - Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)Desired Skills:- Experience creating and/or utilizing manufacturing work instructions and/or standard operating procedures- Experience reading engineering drawings and understanding and utilizing geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)- Experience with welding, especially in a manufacturing contextClearance Level: NoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
