Join us.About the Team: The Engine Manufacturing team is dedicated to delivering high-performance engines and advancing innovativemanufacturing systems that continuously improve cost quality and lead time. Youre not just executing ondesigns; you actively provide input that shapes new hardware iterations and regularly interface with engineers tomake critical decisions for the Aeon R program. Having successfully developed and refined processes for our initialdevelopment engines the team is now focused on producing flight engines at rate for Terran Rs aggressive launchmanifest.About the Role:As a Turbomachinery Engineer you will produce components and assemblies for the fuel and oxidizer turbopumps of the Aeon-R and Aeon-R Vac engines. As a Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer you will own the manufacturing trades and then develop the processes for fabricating testing and delivering critical Aeon-R hardware and subassemblies. You will serve as the main point-of-contact between the manufacturing and design teams as we optimize Aeon-R architecture and scale manufacturing operations. To be successful in this role you should be someone who thrives in ambiguity and is able to drive their own projects to completion. You must have the passion tenacity and resolve to work through challenging issues unique to rocket turbopumps and additively manufactured hardware. We are looking for someone multifaceted and capable of working at the interfaces of design development and analysis of turbomachinery. Ideally you are someone who has come from a fast paced aerospace environment having completed difficult projects while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary groups.About You:Degree in engineering or related technical field and 2 years of relevant experienceExperience with turbopump assembly procedures including rotor balancing interference fits clearance checks structural proofing and leak checksManufacturing Process Experience: Fluids Testing Machining AdditiveKnowledge of general assembly and test procedures including tolerance stack-up analysis structural proof testing and pressurized leak checksExperience with Siemens NX or other CAD and analysis toolsExperience with Tooling design including conceptualization modeling and drafting and detailed analysisNice to haves but not required:Experience working with additively manufactured engine hardwareExperience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and industry specificationsExperience in a startup or agile development environmentExperience working in a flight development programAt Relativity Space we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
