If youre passionate about consumer products e-commerce and high-growth start-ups keep reading!Job Summary:As Ruggables Manufacturing Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of Ruggable. You will be a data-driven strategic problem solver and innovative thinker across the Operations organization. More specifically you will lead projects that support Ruggables journey into a data-centric innovative company on the forefront of the home goods market.. Your day-to-day will include identifying and scoping automation opportunities vetting strategic equipment manufacturers identifying key process optimization opportunities and implementing engineering projects. You will be working closely with Operations stakeholders to understand existing processes solicit user requirements and lead implementation of operational improvements.What Youll Do :Scope Project Manage and Commission automation projects for direct-to-consumer and omnichannel business unitsIdentify and prioritize cost quality and safety automation opportunitiesVet strategic equipment manufacturers and manage ongoing external relationshipsSelect and manage contractors for project installation and hold them accountable to Ruggables engineering and safety standardsAssist Director of Operations Engineering with vetting and identifying strategic asset countersourcing opportunitiesAssist Director of Operations Engineering with Digital Factory opportunity scoping and project implementationAssist cross-functional partners (e.g. Product Development Sourcing) in vetting third-party production capabilitiesCollaborate with Operations stakeholders to understand existing processes solicit user requirements and request feedback to drive continuous improvementDrive continuous improvement of engineering project management processesWhat Youll Need to Have:Required:1-5 years of professional experience working in continuous improvement or manufacturing project engineeringExcellent proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel including advanced formulas and model constructionExperience in working with global equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to scope and vet investment opportunitiesAbility to manage and hold contractors accountable to Ruggable standardsAbility to build and effectively manage capital project budgetsAbility to project manage complex engineering projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholdersAbility to solicit user requirements from multiple stakeholder groups and translate those requirements into metrics reports tool features etc.Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.Strong relationship development skills with ability to quickly become a trusted thought partner across Operations teamsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneouslyExceptional verbal and written communication skillsMust be willing to travel both domestically and internationally for project implementations across multiple manufacturing sitesExperience utilizing and/or building dashboards (i.e. Tableau Looker Google Sheets)Preferred:Previous experience working in consumer packaged goods or textilesPrevious experience in controls and automationCompensation:$85000 - $100000 per year base salaryAn annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of roleEmployer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K planAt Ruggable we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
