The Avery Dennison Identification Solutions group is looking for an Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at our site in Miamisburg Ohio. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead and execute cost savings projects that are directly tied to key strategic goals for the business. Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs an Manufacturing Engineer you will have the opportunity to make an impact by:Promoting safety as the most important value in the organization by contributing through training process improvement and other environmental health and safety responsibilitiesDocumenting standard processes and procedures for implementation and trainingDeveloping and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost efficient manner. Providing support to manufacturing to resolve production and quality issues that arise on a day-to-day basisWorking with machine repair team members to analyze root cause and define corrective actions for future preventive maintenanceConducting technical inspections of complex machinesRecommending and implementing improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations equipment utilization and related mattersEvaluating and approving design changes specifications and drawing releasesPartnering with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to develop and execute projects that are a part of the Identifications Enterprise Lean Sigma journeyManaging special projects; which could include supplier relationships production performance management sustainability and other ad hoc projectsSetting project schedules by monitoring project progress coordinating activities and solving problemsDefining requirements for new equipment validation run-off Preparing new machines and production equipment for operationOptimizing direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow through the use of industrial engineering methods including line balancing time studies as well as both in-plant and external material flowDesigning and planning equipment layoutsQualifications : To set you up for success in this role Avery Dennison requires the following qualifications:Bachelors Degree in related field (Engineering Mechanical/Industrial) or 2-4 years of experience in an engineering function in a manufacturing environmentKnowledgeable in Electronic Systems (wire diagrams schematics PLC logic .. ect.)Knowledgeable in Mechanical Systems (Cams Torque requirements ect.)Excellent math and analytical skillsExcellent communication and organization skills with an emphasis on detailUnderstanding of process documentation and improvementProficiency with applicable computer systems such as Microsoft Office and Google Apps (mail docs sheets slides forms)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role are as follows:Working experience in Oracle E-Business Suite R12Proficient creating 3D models and 2D prints using Solidworks or related CAD software.
