This position will involve working with engineers and Shop Floor personnel on both military and industrial equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbine generator sets, permanent magnet motors for industrial and ship propulsion applications and other large power equipment. This position will work with the process design, tooling development and process documentation for New Product Development and Continuous Improvement changes. Co-op from January - August 2026.Job ResponsibilitiesWork closely with and assist manufacturing engineers in the conduct of various assignmentsCarry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new thingsConduct limited scope testing under the supervision of manufacturing engineersComplete assigned tasks on timeGather and assemble data for manufacturing engineersMust have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good networkPerform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the team, methods, programs and practicesSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationOther duties as assignedQualificationsSophomore, Junior or Senior Mechanical Engineering Technology / CAD Drafting Design student / Manufacturing Engineering / Operations or related discipline.Familiarity with ASME Y14 Standards, tolerancing, etc.GPA 2.75 or higherWorking knowledge of MS OfficeSelf-starter and independent working attributes are essentialAbility to manage multiple assignments effectivelyAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingInterest in developing design skills with large power equipmentPrevious hands on machining or assembly experience strongly preferredThe salary range for this position is $43,926-$62,814. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
