Job DescriptionManufacturing Engineering Lead (Cap and Foundry)Position Summary:The Manufacturing Engineering Lead is responsible for leading engineering activities to develop processes define controls and implement effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas. This employee will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor.Essential Functions:Responsible for supervision of the Clean & Cap and Foundry Manufacturing Engineers.The Manufacturing Engineering Lead will guide and support the team in achieving critical operational objectives including:Driving scrap reduction efforts to meet daily and quarterly targets.Ensuring completion of daily manufacturing audits.Maintaining on-time compliance with scheduled preventative maintenance.Proactively identifying and resolving safety hazards within the work area.Leading continuous improvement initiatives using PFMEA and control plans.Required Skills:Proven analytical problem-solving and process improvement abilities.Demonstrated success in developing and executing action plans that deliver measurable results.Working knowledge of Zero-Defect methodologies including PFMEA Control Plans and process control.Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while adapting to changing situations.Capable of performing effectively under high-pressure conditions and tight deadlines.Excellent written verbal and organizational communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.Desired Skills:Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively in collaborative team environments.Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects successfully.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.Familiar with Minitab JMP or other statistical analysis software.Proven experience in advanced manufacturing environments.Experience & Education:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Hands-on experience in the airfoil investment casting industry a plus.
