Perform simple changeover and set up. Load supplies and make adjustments to semi-automated machine(s). Machine operator is responsible for ensuring the machine works properly utilizing the correct materials for the product and keeping the equipment running. The Operator must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the quality requirements for the products being produced and able to make adjustments as necessary to achieve maximum addition is responsible for troubleshooting equipment effectively and appropriately seeking assistance of a trained mechanic. When necessary clearly communicating equipment problems to the mechanic and asking questions if necessary. Reports any problem with the equipment or supplies to their supervisor or team leader. These positions have a direct effect on the quality of our products. This role may be used as a training prerequisite for a higher-level Machine Operator position.Equipment typically operated by Machine Operator IV level employees include:Auto CartonerBrite StackerDe-PalletizerRack OvenMachine operator is responsible for the following duties:Set up equipment at the beginning and during the shiftBring supplies to the area and ensure correct supplies are used.Able to effectively trouble shoot equipment. Know terminology and components of all areas of equipment. Operate control panel. Document operations by completing all required forms.When machine issues arise call the mechanic and explain the problem.Make sure the product is sealed and has the correct code (if applicable).Change packaging materials to avoid downtime and identify sub-standard materials and supplies.Operate machine in a safe manner.Communicate to supervisor/ team leader any machine or process problems in a timely manner.Consistent clean-up and stock of area perform general housekeeping tasks as it relates to respective area in order to provide a clean and safe work environment.Work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.Comply with the policies outlined in the Amys handbook. Qualifications and SkillsTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must meet or exceed overall performance standards as outlined in the Amys Performance Appraisal process.
