Responsibilities Key AccountabilitiesCoordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling planEnsures the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the type designUses process engineering principles and techniquesDevelops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurationsPerforms trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teamsAbility to apply knowledge in one or more of the following areas:Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures Qualifications Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an ABET engineering program with 0-2 years of relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - interface with customers and suppliersKnowledge of engineering systems and the ability to deploy the Continuous Improvement Toolset - Seven Wastes etc.Detailed knowledge of design methods both on 2d and 3d design platforms with excellent drawing/design interpretation skillsPractical engineering knowledgeStrong understanding of metallic & composite manufacturing techniques & treatment processesSelf-driven with a 'can-do' attitudeFluent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookWorking knowledge of CATIASpirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
