Job Description
OverviewThis role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities:Supports and directs various job families to expedite the fabrication of details and assembliesApplies process management and improvement techniquesUses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions to fabrication problemsFacilitates work teams, provides training, and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers about project planning, problem resolution, and process improvementDevelopment of metrics used to monitor factory progressCoordinate interactions with customers, external representatives, and key personnelParticipate in cross-functional teams, programs, divisions, and various groups to integrate business objectives, strategies, and plans. Troubleshoots process breakdowns and develops root cause analysis QualificationsRequirementsBachelor's degree in a related field or 3-5 years of experience Preferred QualificationsExperience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System)Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.)2 years of experience in Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, hard and soft Chemical Finishing/Processing, Assembly, Machining, Supply ChainExperience utilizing production metrics to make informed decisions and drive resultsExperience in Microsoft Office SuiteSAP Experience and / or other production system softwaresUnderstanding of a manufacturing production atmosphere Union:This is a union-represented position. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $70,050 - $107,400 Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems' Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
