Manufacturing Technician, General Assembly at Zoox

As a Zoox manufacturing technician you will be part of a team responsible for the assembly and testing of our vehicles. You will work with mechanical electrical and computer systems regularly. There will be regular use of hand power and diagnostic tools along with custom equipment used to improve safety quality and reduce time. Your feedback from the build will go directly to your leads to help create and refine key systems and move Zoox towards mass production. In this role you will:Work closely with Leads and other technicians on vehicle build in the assembly lineLight Diagnosis/troubleshooting on vehicle issuesComplete daily tasks to ensure on-time delivery and completion of the stationPerform execution of on-vehicle testing involving both hardware and softwareOffer constructive feedback to team members to facilitate future development effortsWilling to be flexible and work with cross-functional teams or departmentsWork within all Environmental Health and Safety guidelinesIdentify opportunities for enhancement in Quality Efficiency and Safety standards.Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach in supporting evolving processes and assuming new responsibilities.Qualifications4 years of experience working as a technician in a manufacturing environmentExperience with basic hand and power toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFamiliar with electrical schematics and harness drawingsBonus QualificationsAutomotive/OEM experience is a plusAssociate Degree or Certificate in Automotive TechnologyPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 lbsStanding walking and working in a manufacturing or shop environment for extended periods$35.50 - $54.80 an hourThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling as well as positioning within a level is determined by a range of factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant years of experience domain knowledge and interview performance.
