Job DescriptionJob Description The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of moderately complex manufacturing processes in a fast-paced atmosphere while under direct supervision. Processes consist of operation of robotic spray coating equipment, laser patterning equipment, metrology equipment to control coating and analyze applied pattern characteristics on various substratesWe are seeking a 3rd shift Ceramics Manufacturing Technician in our Philadelphia, PA facility where we develop, produce and process specialized coatings and materials, primarily for the defense market. This role performs a variety of manufacturing processes and operates sophisticated manufacturing equipment. Our 3rd shift will run Monday - Friday from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Initial training will take place on 1st shift for around 2 months.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesFollow detailed manufacturing instructions to complete daily tasks in an effective and timely mannerOperate advanced custom robotic equipment to achieve specified resultsEnsure product maintains conformance to process standards and tolerances through measurement analysisDaily detailed data capturing to maintain appropriate recordsOperate advanced custom robotic equipment to achieve specified resultsMeasure, mill, and mix materials following standardized recipes and proceduresPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; replaces critical/consumable components on scheduled intervalPerform basic troubleshooting of equipment when necessaryMaintain manufacturing supplies to ensure continuous workflowMaintain clean workspace, including shared work areas, utilizing 6S practicesEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED or equivalent experience requiredMinimum of 2 years of related experienceCollege or vocational training in physical science, mathematics, and or engineering preferredSkillsAttention to detail High disciplineAbility to follow detailed work instructionsAptitude for maintaining detailed recordsComputer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)Good communication skillsTeam PlayerWorking ConditionsTemperature/humidity-controlled manufacturing environmentFlexibility to temporarily shift working hours when necessaryPhysical RequirementsStanding (4hours per day)Lifting (50lbs.)Pushing/Pulling (20lbs.)Sitting (2hours per daySafety RequirementsAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
