We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. Job SummaryLeonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple Level II Manufacturing Technicians for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position will be responsible for building electro-mechanical assemblies per blueprints, schematics, and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, screw drivers and wrenches.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly and reworkProvide technical support to engineers and scientist on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipmentResponsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assembliesDesign and test prototype assemblies and production unitsWork from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets Use judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specificationsTest, inspect, and repair electronic, optical or mechanical assembliesWork under minimal supervision and may provide guidance to other techniciansCapable of performing related manufacturing processesInterpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rulesEnsure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certificationMay assist in training new team membersInterface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materialsPerform Key Performance Indicators:Meet production deadlinesQuality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)Raw material stock levelsCompliance outcomesAbility to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditionsSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationQualificationsAssociate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related areaAt least 2 years of relevant experienceMust demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skillsExperienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practicesSoldering and wirebonding experience a plusMust have good mechanical skillsMust be experienced in the safe handling of chemicalsExperienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and LabviewExperience with MRP a plusThe expected pay scale for this position is $39,933.00/year - $51,913.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
