JOB DESCRIPTION

Manufacturing Technician II

Join our team as a Manufacturing Technician II in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment. You'll play a key role ensuring the quality and compliance of our manufacturing processes, specifically focusing on the repair, production, and restocking of medical devices.

Essential Functions

  • Follow detailed procedures to return pumps to their original state, ensuring a quality end product
  • Troubleshoot and assemble/disassemble various pump components using hand tools
  • Perform limited technical aspects of repair, production, and restock processes
  • Complete all required documentation to maintain quality compliance

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to identify and differentiate small electronic components using markings
  • Capable of handling stressful production demands while demonstrating teamwork and cooperation
  • Able to read/follow written work instructions, including authorized deviations
  • Experience manipulating small parts and assembling/disassembling medical devices with hand tools
  • Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision and complete required compliance documentation
  • Demonstrate good judgment, a positive attitude, and initiative
  • Willingness to learn production/repair assembly procedures and interpret assembly drawings
  • Basic computer skills; able to accurately perform and transcribe basic mathematical calculations
  • Proficient reading and writing in English
  • Ability to visually inspect products, identify particulate or foreign matter, and distinguish between colors
  • Knowledge and adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Preferred experience in mechanical or electrical repair in a manufacturing setting

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit or stand for most of the workday
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity required
  • Capable of lifting/carrying 15 lbs. (floor to shoulder) and 2 lbs. (shoulder to overhead)
  • Ability to push and pull up to 6 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Production area is regulated by the FDA and subject to strict safety and quality rules
  • Personal protective requirements include:
    • Wearing a static protective smock at all times in the work area
    • Wearing and properly grounding a wrist strap while working
