Successful candidates who show the initiative and desire to develop new skills will have the opportunity to build a career at INVISTA as part of the team.What You Will DoFollow all corporate/site guidelines as well as any federal/state/local laws and or regulations without exceptionSafely operate manufacturing equipment in the Polymer and Cordura production areasLearn and properly apply procedures and perform required inspections of process equipment take corrective actions per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Perform general and detailed housekeepingWork with safety management systems to enhance safe work practices and behaviors across the siteExpected to carry out all activities with integrity compliance and in a safe and efficient mannerIdentify and segregate products according to quality standardsPerform routine sampling of products to ensure a quality product is delivered to our customersAccurate data entry into multiple computer systemsAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Ability to work the required rotating schedule including nights weekends and overtime as neededExperience in a manufacturing industrial agricultural or military environmentThis role is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipWhat Will Put You AheadMinimum of 2 years of previous manufacturing or related experienceExperience with computer applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint and SAPPrevious experience troubleshooting in a manufacturing settingPrevious experience with chemical processes polymers spinning extrusion or plasticsPhysical Requirements & Working ConditionsRepeated lifting to 50 lbs may be requiredWalking climbing squatting stooping standing pushing and/or pullingMaintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing personal protective equipmentWork in a hot/humid cold and noisy industrial environmentWork ScheduleRotating 12.25-hour shifts. (6:45 am 7:00 pm and 6:45 pm 7:00 am)36 hours one week 48 hours the following weekRotating shift schedule requires employees to work at least 50% of weekendsAverage full-time work schedule of 14 days per month (includes a 7-day break every month)The work schedule is subject to change with notification depending on business needs.
