Make an impact by advancing the Department of Defenses mission to keep our country safe and secure.Job DescriptionELECTRICIAN MAINTENANCEGDIT is seeking a Marine Electrician to help support the SACSS program in Seattle, WashingtonThis is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided.Must be a US CitizenJob Description:Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.Uses hand tools and testing equipment.Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment.Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.Works from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Participates in special projects as required.Must be able to obtain all necessary badges (DBIDS and shipyard).Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.Performs other duties as assignedMust be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 75 lbs.Travel (within and outside of the continental United States) Maybe required for 20% of the timeRequirements:US CitizenHS/GED1+ years of experienceGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#hireshipyardcareersgditWork RequirementsYears of Experience1 + years of related experience* may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degreeCertificationTravel Required10-25%CitizenshipU.S. Citizenship RequiredSalary and Benefit InformationThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $30.44 - $41.18. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
