OverviewUnityPoint Health is seeking a Market Compliance Officer to lead the Markets Compliance Program and ensure strong risk-based compliance practices across the this role you will execute the UPH Compliance Program locally develop and maintain effective compliance policies and procedures and oversee monitoring auditing and training efforts that support systemwide strategies and initiatives. And we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.ResponsibilitiesServe as a role model for ethical management behavior and promote an awareness and understanding of positive ethical principles and compliance with federal and state law in all areas of compliance Serve as the internal compliance consultant for the organization coordinating all activities from a system perspective at the Market level Respond to all compliance inquiries from management providers and staff members. Provide overall responsibility for the Market execution implementation and administration of a comprehensive organization-wide compliance program. Ensure Markets compliance with all local state and federal laws and regulations organizational policies and accreditation and licensure requirements. Collaborate with other Officers and Department Directors within the Market to prepare for and respond to proposed or existing regulations that may impact Markets operations. Responsible for monitoring and reporting results of compliance efforts and providing guidance to the Markets administrative leadership on all matters related to compliance. Assess Markets risk and participate in the development of the annual UPH Compliance Work Plan and the Market Compliance Work Plan. Work with the management team in the design implementation and monitoring of compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Provide oversight by reviewing contracts to determine compliance with regulatory guidelines and Fair Market Value Regularly review Markets compliance programs recommend appropriate revisions and modifications and advise administrative leadership of potential risk areasDevelop and oversee implementation of appropriate compliance-related education for new employees and existing staff membersDevelop and oversee implementation of corrective action plansAs applicable participate in System Compliance CommitteeMonitor the Markets 855 Facility reportingSupport an environment of innovation learning teamwork and professional practice consistent with the mission vision and values of the organizationConsult the administrative leadership and operations to help ensure all Market services policies and procedures are in compliance with agency standards regulatory mandates accrediting bodies and federal state and local regulations as appropriateWork closely with appropriate departments to verify that all employees independent contractors and vendors are properly screened to prevent affiliation with individuals who are excluded from federally-funded health care programsFunction as the Compliance Officer for the MarketCollaborate with UnityPoint Health Markets in building strong relationships in areas of responsibilitiesPerform other duties as requested by the UPH Chief Compliance Officer or his/her designee to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the officeQualifications4-year degree from accredited university 5 years previous experience in health care compliance health care agency or government affairs.Clinical experience is a plus#System123Required Experience:Unclear Seniority Key Skills Compliance Management,Risk Management,Financial Services,PCI,Banking,Cost Accounting Standards,Quality Systems,Research Experience,NIST Standards,Securities Law,SOX,ISO 27000 Employment Type : Full-Time Department / Functional Area: Compliance Experience: years Vacancy: 1
