And everyone in their own unique way plays an important part every day.The Medical Social Worker is a licensed social work professional who is responsible for the delivery of clinical social work services to meet the medically related psychosocial needs of patients and families served by the hospital in a manner reflective of the departments philosophy and objectives. Provides consultation to hospital and medical personnel related to biopsychosocial issues continuity of care and discharge planning functions.GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Provide quality clinical treatment to clients as assigned by the Intake Coordinator and/or the Department Director. Provide individual group and family therapy to clients of varied ages and stages in recovery. Complete all documentation and paperwork specific to each department and in compliance with hospital requirements DMH BSAS The Joint Commission and Insurance Providers. Responsible for managing caseload through consultations collateral contact and following up with the client on missed appointments.
