JOB DESCRIPTION

Material Handler - Off Shift - 21.55/hr

We are seeking dedicated individuals to perform manual labor work in warehouse operations. You will be responsible for stocking, processing, and receiving inventory while adhering to company policies and procedures. This role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and involves the operation of saws and other necessary equipment. You will also be tasked with picking tickets, properly identifying, grading, and sizing items, and documenting pick tickets accurately. The use of cranes, forklifts, side-loaders, and computer systems is integral to managing the movement of parts within the facility. Proficiency with tape measure usage down to 1/16th is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual labor in warehouse operations.
  • Stock, process, and receive inventory.
  • Follow policy and procedure.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
  • Operate saws and other necessary equipment.
  • Pick tickets and properly identify, grade, and size items.
  • Document pick tickets accurately.
  • Use crane, forklift, and side-loader to load trucks.
  • Move materials and stage them appropriately.
  • Utilize computer systems daily to track and manage movement of parts in the facility.
  • Measure accurately using a tape measure down to 1/16th.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred.
  • Proficient computer usage required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with steel backgrounds is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in operating an overhead crane is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic, teamwork, and adaptability.

Work Environment

The work environment is a steel factory setting, which can be warm at times. The company is mid-sized with opportunities for growth and stability. The workforce is steady and career-focused. Openings are available for the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with hours from 3-11 PM and 11-7 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend shifts are also available. Metatarsal boots are required, with a voucher provided for those who show commitment to the role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TOLEDO, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.55/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
