Material Handler
Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks using walkie riders and pallet jacks, as well as moving products around the facility. Essential duties involve maintaining production efficiency, organizing workspace, and upholding quality standards while demonstrating adept troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load trucks, delivering materials to production and handling documentation for material receipts and deliveries.
- Deliver materials to the production floor and analyze workload based on order sheets.
- Perform daily operational checks on delivered raw materials, including cleaning, checking, and adding fluids as needed.
- Conduct quality checks using microscopes, micrometers, measuring devices, calipers, rulers, and other related devices.
- Use mobile equipment, including forklifts and walkies, in daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following the 6S standard.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Support the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area.
- Train others within the functional area.
Essential Skills
- Experience in material handling, inventory management, and packing.
- Proficiency with RF scanners, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other mobile equipment.
- Experience in order picking, loading, shipping, and receiving.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures, including safety compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor and production environments.
- Ability to perform quality checks using various measurement devices.
- Familiarity with maintaining production efficiency and organizing workspace.
- Troubleshooting skills to uphold quality standards.
Work Environment, Pay and Shift
- The work environment involves operating in a facility using various mobile equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. Employees are expected to adhere to safety and operational procedures, maintain a clean workspace following the 6S standard, and work all scheduled shift hours.
- Openings on all 4 shifts A shift (Day Shift) Sunday Tuesday (every other Wednesday)- 6:45am 7:30pm, B shift (Night Shift) Sunday Tuesday (every other Wednesday)- 6:45pm 7:30am, C shift (Day Shift) Thursday Saturday (every other Wednesday)- 6:45am 7:30pm, D shift (Night Shift) Thursday Saturday (every other Wednesday)- 6:45pm 7:30am.
- Pay Rate - $20.70/hr., no shift differential, it is $20.70/hr. across all shifts

This is a Contract position based out of De Soto, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
