As a Material Handler you will help deliver various types of products from life-saving personal protective equipment to everyday lab essentials. You will provide shipping receiving storage and order fulfillment services for finished goods inventory materials supplies parts and equipment.A Day in the Life:Pick pack sort arrange count store and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirementsSustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.Receive materials and/or finished goods daily.Verify the quality type and number of materials received are accurate and appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).Safely operate distribution equipment as required.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience:Band 1 (Distribution): Required: No previous work experience requiredPreferred: Experience in distribution warehouse or supply chain or related fieldPreferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)Must be able to pass a required background checkPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmenMust be able to lift push or pull up to 40 lbs.Will work in the cold room freezer and ambient sections of the warehouse depending on business need.Able to work on your feet for up to 10 hours a day.What We OfferCompensationCompetitive Hourly Pay Rate starting at $19.50/hrAdditional shift differential for 2nd shiftAnnual performance-based bonusAnnual merit performance-based increaseExcellent BenefitsBenefits & Total Rewards Thermo Fisher Scientific Medical Dental & Vision benefits-effective Day 1120 hours of Paid Time Off & 10 Paid Holidays401k Retirement Savings PlanTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusCompensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $13.82$20.74.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
